In your time honoured tradition of cherry picking stats to suit the argument, I'll pick the one that shows Button outqualifying his team mate 2:1 so far this season, so can we now end this discussion?

You don't get points for qualifying, so it don't count for shit I'm afraid.

All that counts is what happens on Sunday afternoon.

You've obviously not read the rest of this thread have you rolleyes

I was being sarcastic! Ive argued all along that racing is where it counts but various people have tried to use Button's qualifying performances as evidence that he's over-rated and no better than Barrichello.

No that is taking things out of context - I used qualie as an indication of a performance when people started to say that Button DOMINATED his team mate. Which I think was a bit OTT.

Ultimately this stems from the title of the thread - beind Button '07 champion. Nobody talks about Rubens being world champion winning material and yet many are totally convinced Button will be...

Yep, but how do you win championships? - by doing well in races! What happened in the races last year? - Button dominated his team-mate!

So why is it do you think that Rubens isn't mentioned as a potentail champion as well? scratchchin

Didn't that phrase come back to bite Peter Warr in the arse when he said it about Mansell?

It was never reported whether his arsehole actually disappeared on it's own one day in August 1992, or whether he had corrective surgery to have it sewn up... hehe

For that reason I've always wanted to go to a Peter Warr Q&A just to ask "how do you take a dump?" but I suspect he got off that circuit as no-one wanted to ask anything else hehe

The advice that he is probably getting, if his history is anything to go by, is to jump ship!
I'd advise you to stay put, the 2009 car will look, feel, handle and go like nothing you've ever driven before.

Come on Ross you beauty.
