here's a most excellent picture of 80s australian Touring Cars

Would that be you in the rotary being passed by Robbie Francevic and one Dick Johnson in the Palmer Tube Mills Mustang?

Top shot either way. Fair play to you. They were some glory days of Australian motorsport I think. But then, Im a Brock fan so I would say that.

Is that the new motorsport complex down by the airport in the second shot? Couldnt recognise it as part of Wanneroo? Unless its out the back of the Kart track?

Thanks for the memory!

This year, I shall mostly be turning left.

This was Mark Procter's ASCAR
Shown here in it's last scheme which was Skid Carrera's "My Own Racing Team" and to confuse matters, last driven by Keith White.

Though it's about to get it's respray into my colours.

"TEAM AIR AMBULANCE" will be raising money for (hopefully) all sixteen Air Ambulance charities, while racing in the SCSA V8 Trophy at Rockingham.

More news as it's available.

This year I will mostly be doing my hair while racing a MX5 in the Max5 series, however I intend to do the occasional race in the Chimaera. The 5's start at Donny 29th April, no photos yet cos I don't have a car...yet.

Iain

Yes that was me in the RX7; COMPLETELY unsuitable under Group A rules, after being very competitive in the previous Group C class (Allan Moffat). I spent the whole race watching my mirrors and getting out of the way! The RX7 was actually several seconds a lap SLOWER than my RX3 running in the "Streetcar" class as an U2L with a 10A P/P engine and road tyres!

Yes, DJ in the Mustang, either RF or John Bowe in the Volvo. I tTHINK I may have beaten Brocky in that race... (he spent quite a few laps in the pits )

The recent shot, yes that is the AHG track, the series 5 is for sale having been replaced with a Series 8
