Can you confirm this please Jeff, as I have spoken to Silverstone on behalf of someone on here and was told that the circuit would NOT be open in any way to the public, not even a small section.

I can confirm that the Silverstone event staff I'm dealing with for the organisation of this event have assured me that Silverstone will allow public access to the Media Day, both into the Luffield Grandstand and into the paddock. The only paddock area that will be off limits is the media centre and the pitlane / garage area for obvious reasons.

What a great scoop .....I`m looking forward to properly following the racing this year through the PH site...it`s not always possible to keep track of each event for me...The GT racing in the UK in particular is without doubt a great spectacle...Best wishes for the year ahead.

well wouldnt make much differance to me really ... i dont think any of my patches are fire retardant, the overalls are only proban anyway so its not like im in a triple layer nomex suit designed to give us a few seconds grace in a burning car.

So it sounds like I will be able to get my car into the grounds at least to park up (going to book Thursday afternoon off work now).
Can't believe I missed this story.....
Just went on to the F3 site to catch up on the latest pre-season news and saw the pistonhead logo plastered all over their front page!!
Does the fact that I'm mates with Jonathan Kennard get me any special dispensation?!

Just got back from a great day @ Silverstone.
Many thanks to Paul & Jeff.
Now comes the long task of sifting through the 2000 shots taken by myself and Helen to see if anything comes out!! lol
Should have a nice shot of the two lovely ladies with the Viper kneeling down next to the PH sticker. Well if you dont push your luck and ask you dont get.

I got them to put the PH sticker on their rears, looks great Many thanks to Paul & Jeff.
