Hi there,

Had a great afternoon at Rockingham, good to see the cars out in force. Shame about the non runners would have been nice to see the Civic and 120 diesel running. Only saw the Civic briefly as Team Dynamics were packing the car away ready to go back to base.

Took loads of pictures of the cars out on track which make a change to all the static shots that I have seen so far. It was my first time shooting at Rockingham and it is certainly not my favourite track. All of these pics were taken from the roof of the garages looking across to the main grandstand.

Will post a link to the full page of pictures as soon as I have finished processing them.

Enjoy

Regards

Tim

It was my first visit to Rockingham and a result mine are really poor compared to the ones above (and nowhere near my usual standards), but I'll post a link when I've uploaded them.

I had an excellent day though and can't wait till the new season now!

Leggate - not Champ Car Leggate?

Nice to see some RWD car in there, instead of the noddy FWD's (have the RWD's got to carry more weight like in the late 90's?

You're thinking of Katherine Legge. Fiona Leggate ran the biofuel Astra last year before it was taken over by Paul O'Neill.

Most of the cars in the above photos have ran in previous seasons! Only that Vectra is totally new, although there'll be a Civic coming from team halfords!

She's still in Champ Cars she's quite a sought after commodity, might be driving for Paul Stoddart. Good testing times with the new Panoz DP1 chassis too. She'll be around this year.

It's looking more likely now that she'll be driving for Dayle Coyne.

As for Fiona in the MG, I was talking to her about it yesterday and she feels far happier in it than the Astra coupe so hopefully she can have a good season. (Reliability allowing, the Gearbox packed up yesterday!) The only other drawback is that its a BTC spec machine and this season the rules have been changed to favour the S2000 Spec cars.

I'm not that happy with them, but it was my first ever visit to Rockingham, hopefully my photos from the race weekend will be better.
