I would say that they should get points for every grid place they make up through on-track overtaking.

We are transfixed by having one point or two point gaps between each position.
Perhaps we should look at ten, or even twenty points.

There should be 20 points for pole.
There should be 20 points for fastest lap.
Maybe 5 points for every time they overtake someone.

Which means that there are more points on offer for someone who wins from the back of the grid - ie: racing for a win.

Win 250
2nd 200
3rd 175
4th 150
5th 125
6th `00
7th 75
8th 50
9th 40
10th 30
11th 20
12th 10

22 cars on the grid.

Win from the back = overtake 21 cars = 105+250 = 355 points.

Just a thought.

Bernie - know his stuff (and then some). Bigger the gab between all points scorers the better.

Make them work for it.
