I think its more to do with ITV's coverage of Lewis Hamilton as being the second coming of Christ rather than anything to do with Lewis himself. plus all the muppets(Jude law,the Beckhams,p diddly) who have been sucked into the ITV F1 hyperbole in Hamilton's wake.
We could always go back to the points systems whereby you had to count the points in the first half of the season, then the points in the second half, then you had to drop points if you were too succesful, etc etc.
Ryder and Blundell can't explain/understand anything now, can you imagine them trying to work out all the permutations if they had that system?
