trackside, what lens were you using? i found even my f1.8 was a bit tricky by the time it was dark, looks like you set up the flash just right.
Nikon 70-300 f4.5/5.6. Had to crank the iso value up before I put the flash on though (think I was up to about 500 at one point...)

Nice pics trackside, your flash is obviously a lot better than mine!
It's an old Jessops 280AF that I swapped with a friend's one a while ago! Seems to do the job though.

Hi Trackside

Nice pics and a very enjoyable race.

Could you pm me with details of how I can get some pics of our viper in the dark?

Thanks
Archibold
Thanks for the comments everyone. Archibold, I've emailed you via the Moore Racing website as your profile won't accept PMs.

Pauljc, top pics as ever. I love the fact that you find a more artistic angle to the ones I do. Great stuff!

Thanks Piglet / Mark.

Lol. The Victor Meldrew Trophy! This is organised by a friend, John Willcocks. For old gits only, handicaps imposed the younger you are!
Cheeky young whipper-snapper! I was giving the old boy a hand with the organising, including the very amenable Nurse Gladys (not available for rent or hire but could do 1 or 2 Britcar rounds if pressed). You see as we are all old gits, required additional medical scrutineering on the day to ensure road worthiness.....of the driver.

Anyway, inaugural "Meldrew" seemed to go down well with drivers, marshals & spectators and is now firmly fixed in the calendar alongside the Birkett, Le Mans 24 hours etc etc
