These are not a comprehensive or the SRO 'official' timing results.
They are the times that Christophe Buchot set in each of the British GT marques on new Avon tyres at the ' British GT AVON Post Season Test ' at Donington on the 18th October in a step to evaluate the difference between the marques on Avon rubber.
Ascari - 1:07.9
Mosler - 1:08.7
Lamborghini - 1:08.8
Ford GT - 1:09.5
Ferrari - 1:09.8
Aston Martin - 1:10.0
Viper - 1:10.200
Mustang - 1:11.100

Aha! I was wondering when we would find out. Cheers Adam!
BTW, I thought Johnny Lang was doing the testing? Anyway, those are some interesting results. Looking at the similarity between the Viper and Aston times for instance, shows how way out the equalisation was this year. I take it these were cars set up to their optimum? If so, how was that regulated? I mean, do teams have an opportunity to setup how they like (and maybe in their favour) or is there some standard to it all?

Christophe Buchot and Rob Bell were the drivers.
Cars were tested as they ran at the last race I believe, except all runners were running the softer Avon tyre.
All cars were scrutinered after the test drivers drove as if in a race situation.

That Ascari time is bizarre. That car, in regular BGT spec, really can't get anywhere near that time. Most peculiar.
If it was the Jones' one it can...GrahamG said:
The Ascari was running in Dubai spec - 80kgs of ballast as opposed to the 120 it has run with all season
That's right, 40Kg lighter than normal ( 40Kg = 0.5s per lap roughly ).All the cars were running on the Softer Avon's too, so that would be an advantage as well.

I understand it was Team Berlanga's Ascari. Eurotech did not provide their Ascari for the equalisation I think.
