Paul - we are going to the Philippines for a few days after Macau....seems rude not to when you are so close....fancy it? We are doing a tour of the local churches and tea rooms as a cultural excercise. We think it will expand our horizons.............

I'm a bit late reading this thread but as a driver in britcar from the start and running cars in the championship i've always thought that using the power to weight formula is a great way of keeping costs down and to make the racing competetive.
The problem is managing it.
Its quite clear that the current logger boxes are not accurate and that the only way to really police this is to rolling road the cars at some point at the event and weigh them.
This is not perfect since it is possible with modern ecu's to fool the dyno but surely its the answer.
The old chestnut of "i dont want to risk my engine on the dyno" is rubbish if the dyno is run and cooled properly, its no different to flooring the throttle in 3rd gear on the track and running it to max revs which you all do many times a lap!
I have a brand new dyno dynamics rolling road, its portable and could be taken to the events and put in a garage. Its extremely accurate and would be a simple way of controlling the issue!
