Looking into going to the F1 race at Monaco next year. Interested in the opinion of anyone who has been as to which grandstand gives you best value for money & any do's & don't for the weekend. Staying in Nice & travelling in by train.

thanks

The square is also one of the easiest to get to as well

Yes, either Casino or Pool grandstands give good views. If you want to get close to the action try Tribune L and book a seat at the edge nearest to the track. Very few places you can get this close without being stuck behind fencing.

If you book a ticket for the Thursday you don't have fixed seats within a grandstand. It's first come, first served, so get there early and pick the best vantage point.

Another alternative for Thursday which I've used before is a reasonbly priced yacht on the Tabac corner. It's a lot more money at the weekend but OK for the Thursday.

We were in the new T stand last year, and it was excellent. Up at the top you're still very close to the track, but there was shade so you didn't bake in the sun all day. Plus you get a great view of the pits and there's a big screen so you can follow the race.

Yep...swimming pool is good Sat there in 2001, £300 for 3 day ticket, hate to think what it costs now.
