Launch control has gone as well, so starts will be completely manually controlled by the driver's right foot thumbup

Should make the starts much more interesting and less of a two by two procession down to the first corner.

massa has only ever driven (F1) with tc - the old hands and the young guys that have not long come out of lower formulae may have the upper hand for the first 1/4 of the year...

as for the engine freeze, it's a proposal by the FIA made as a bargaining point to get something else they want - no-one, including max / bernie / FIA, and certainly the manufacturers, want to see a 10 year freeze
Make them all run highly tuned 6-7litre V8's with max 10,000rpm with Fat Slicks and SOD all Wings.

I'm glad that TC has gone - means the cars won't sound like wet farts in the corners hehe
I think that a few drivers will struggle next year with out it - and I'm thinking Lewis will be one of them, he's been fairly hard on his tyres this season (with TC) as he likes the back to slide - which as we know sideway's isn't the fastest way.
He managed quite well in every formula between remote-control cars and F1, infact I thought he would struggle with the TC, it must be quite alien to just throw the car at a corner and let the computer do the rest.
