I'd go with that as the large Oak (i think) tree in the background appears to be the one on the way out of tower.

most of those trees are gone - that's what threw me initially

Yep, that's what I was thinking. You can just see the little blue grandstand for the Donington Supporters Club in the background on the exit of McLeans.

Amazing how much it has changed in only 20-odd years. You forget how many of the trees they've chopped down and how much the fencing has changed.

if it is donnington, the start finish straight has been widened considerably since the photo was taken...

Can't be Croft as that was shut at the start of the 80's and not re-opened for circuit racing (non Rallycross stuff) until the middle 90's. Plus I don't recognise the fence as being from there!

Thanks for all the replies. They prompted me to examine some video of the TVR racer from the same period and it is Donington

What a superb array of cars. That 450SEAC was (still is) one hell of a piece of kit !

Do you have said footage that you can load up onto here ?

The fencing is hiding the contours. Definately Donington.

Can't do the video ATM

here are a couple of frame grabs from another part of the tape - these are a few seconds apart and are definitely the same place/day

Will you do it as and when you can, please ?

That particular SEAC was the biggest influence on my TVR ownership. It was the car that made me want a 'Wedge' in the first place. Once realised, my TVR fanaticism was concrete.
