Being a pussy this year, and sheltering from the elements on the Saturday evening in the Millenium Stadium.

Me and the GF had planned to come down on the train, however the schedule means that we'd either have to miss the final cars and leg it to get the direct train, or wait around ages afterwards to get a train that would change about a million times.

Car looks like the best (beerless frown) option therefore.

Anyone recommend the best routes in and out of the city, and where we can park .... cheap is a higher priority than secure - My daily driver is a POS and hers is a company car.

are they running a shuttle from the council offices like they do for football and rugby matches? also they run ashuttle from the athletics stadium for events at the millenium stadium so it mihgt be worth checking if these are running.

You'll need to check train times - but this is something we have done in the past for concerts and the like.

Get off the M4 at J32 and head North on the A470 - take your first exit (Taffs Well) and head for the station (straight on at the roundabout, up the hill, don't take the left back onto the A470 and turn right at the lights)

The station car park is free, train ticket is something like £3 return each. Never had an issues leaving car there, often returning quite late at night. Train is about 10-15 mins to Cardiff central and run about every 20-40 mins dependant on time of day etc.

Cheers

Paul

There is a large amount of parking by the museum (which is only 5 minutes walk from the stadium) which is still free in the evenings I think (they very recently changed the parking system there). When we were in Cardiff for the WRC last year there were still plenty of spaces towards the top of the area.

Nice one Alex. Sounding like the best option so far.
