They never did that on the road smile

From what I can remember (the story goes) they were supposed to have pretty much standard parts, but the Lotus team fiddled with the suspension on the MK1 and Mk2 Cortinas.

Thats because they didn,t use that suspension set up on the roads , it was a no comprimise race set up , unless you wanted your teeth to fall out just going to the shops and back

What I mean is that I've heard a story to say that the Chapman cars were raced with bits they weren't supposed to run, bits that weren't homoligated for racing.

indeed , I believe some teams set ups went far beyond even normal race settings , even the red and gold team , mentioning no names.

Ha ha, that scene looks a little familiar. I've been playing GT Legends most of the afternoon - I was driving quite similarly to that Jag. hehe

It doesnt take much to get them 3 wheeling, you can do that with spring rates and no other changes apart from a driver capable of pushing the car hard enough.

Love the off at Esso, now known as Shell corner. Most is of them going through island bend, which is a seriously quick corner with a big impact if you get it wrong.

Is it Jimmy Clark in the other Lotus Cortina No 106? Behind Hill about half way through the film.

Looks to me as though the rear bump rubbers have been binned off.
