Wouldn't something like this be better as a Wiki page rather than a discussion thread?

Does this mean a return to prominent car numbering? I hope so, makes driver recognition so much easier.

On an otherwise crap car with a crap paint job, the large numbers on the endplates of the Honda rear wing did make telling the two cars apart a breeze.

Should be some close competition between team mates in this lot.

So who do you think will come out on top in each of these teams?

Here's my prediction;

Kimi
Kubica
Piquet
Vettel
Hamilton

Can't see a rookie having a great year now that they've banned driver aids.

Really? I would have thought it would be the other way round. When was the last time Alonso drove without driver aids? Where as Piquet has been driving without them far more recently. I know they were nothing like the power of F1 but I do think it will be a good year for Rookies as the existing F1 drivers will all have to adjust their driving as well. (Looking forward to the wet races!!!)

Although I have to say I am not entirely convinced Piquet will beat Alonso but I certainly think he will give him a good run for his money as he did Hamilton in GP2.

Bourdais would probably have the biggest advantage without traction control. In terms of power-to-weight, Champ Cars and F1 are not much different. The key to his success will be his car's set up.

All F1 drivers have already proven themselves in lower formulae without traction control or other electronic driver aids. Furthermore, most of them have proven ability to adapt to different open-wheel racing cars very quickly. After pre-season testing, almost all of them will have adapted enough to be within 99% of their full racing potential.
