Hi all! Hope this is the correct sub-forum smile I jumped out of the motor-racing scene a couple of years ago, after having been in it for about 5 years. I really want to get back into it, and I have always loved the idea of endurance racing. I did a few enduro races in Karting, but I would like to go the full 24 hours. Ive always loved Le Mans, and televising Britcar has tipped me over the edge. Is there any 24 hour races out there? Im still only a student, so budget cant be big (there goes Le Mans and Britcar surprise surprise). I know of the 24 hour 2CV racing, but are there any others? Look forward to replys smile Many Thanks, Ollie smile

Did my first 24hr race in a kart this year, it was a howl. Did ok too! It cost about £180 and was great value for money. It was "training" for my first 24hr car race, which will be at the N'ring in 08, which I am pretty excited about. It should cost about £3000-5000.

Now that could be fun!

Is the Le Mans over on the Alain Prost circuit?

That would be brilliant fun and Teeside is a great circuit. I wouldn't mind getting involved in that, maybe an endurance PH team event? thumbup

Yep Alain Prost, been taking a couple of Uni teams there for the past few years. One of the best kart circuits IMO. The Brit24 is great value but does book up quickly.

Don't dismiss the 2CV race so quickly. Despite 600cc or there abouts, its a great event. Some photos from Team Pistonheads earlier this year http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... and race report http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Regards
Iain

ETA The Britcar and 2CV races are the only UK 24hr circuit races.

That 2CV racing looks bloody good fun. I am doing the caterham academy in 2008 so i think in 2009 i will try and do more and more events. the 2CV is high on my list now.

Have done both the 2CV and Britcar 24hr this year, both great but if budget is important, go for the 2CV 24hr, it was great fun at an affordable price... great people, friendly teams...

if you have £7k you can get a drive in a BMW or similar in the Britcar 24hr, also good fun!

Both good fun, but Britcar 24hrs was proper racing! 2CV great for a limited budget but Snett was almost flat everywhere.

What teams did you race with!

As for the Sex, your doing it wrong! but i have only been married for 10 years - so ask me again in 3
