Race truck conversions

Hi all,

Been racing for a few years now with a useful, if a little dilapidated race truck to transport the car to and from meetings. The car is now developed to the point of being very competitive, freeing up a little budget for work on the truck to make it more comfortable to live in on long weekends, with the aim of making me more relaxed and therefore perform better.

Im thinking something along the lines of a sofa bed to sleep and provide seating during the day, another bunk or 2 above to allow for extra people, a simple hob/oven, kettle and maybe a TV, along with several storage compartments.

Im aware there are many companies who do these kind of conversions, but not being one to take the easy option I fancy having a go at it myself and was wondering if anyone else has tried, if they were successful, if there are any tips etc etc?

Hi Matt,

I've built all my race transporters, from cut up transits to 7.5 tonners, trailers etc. If you want to have a look at some stuff to get ideas give me a shout
