The Daily Mail has had a number of articles over recent days saying that Ron Dennis will resign. Personally I feel that the Daily Mail is saying what the FIA want them to say.

So who thinks who will go? Personally I hope he won't. I have never been a McLaren fan but even so the situation this year and the campaign against them stinks.

He won't resign but he may retire sometime in the next few yearrs but this won't be a aurprise as he already put these wheels in motion before all the scandal this year.

He wont go quite yet, despite Martin Whitmarsh being 'groomed' for team principle. Its only a matter of time though.

It's a pity there appears to be a vendetta against Ron as he is one of the few team principles who has morals. I mean, would Jean Toad have picked the phone up to the FIA and said "i have new evidence which incriminates my team"? I dont think so.

Shabby treatment of one of the people who care about the sport. much the same as Jackie Stewarts treatment recently.

I'll bet this year's nonsense has strengthened Ron's resolve. I hope he bounces back, wins big with Lewis, observes Max's downfall then retires.

On the basis of this year's insanity, one might believe that there will be a systematic bias against McLaren for as long as Ron is running the show. One strongly suspects that a certain disproportionately powerful bureaucrat is eager to see the back of Ron - who has succeeded brilliantly in life where the bureaucrat failed - and has been doing what he can to make that happen.
As such, it is possible that Ron will conclude that he should leave for the sake of the team. That he should find himself in that position would be nothing short of outrageous, but we're dealing with an outrageous character on the other side.

Save that regrettable possibility, there is no way that Ron would leave, which would mean that a scumbag had managed to chase him out of his life's work.

ditto. I hope they totally kick butt this year.

Mosleys in particular. My only worry is that if they are winning, Ferrari will send up the distress flare to the FIA and we'll have a repeat of this year.

I dont think he should. His results are all that really matters. And last year McLarens results were butter than any other team. Ok technically they lost the points but they still had the race finishes, and any season where you beat every other team is a good season.

He should stay where he is and keep doing his job. I would however pay someone else to handle the FIA and teh press to let him do his job. I might even pay someone to dig around for dirt on everyone in the FIA and publish it...

He'll leave, as will Stewart because they have integrity and honesty. The whole thing has become a media driven circus and it's probably better left to the lunatics.

RD being RD leads me to think that he may just consider retirement - he is smart enough to know that it would be in the interest of the team if he went.

The FIA & co may just cut McMerc some slack if RD was out of the picture, and RD knows it. IMHO of course.

Ron will stay until McLaren win another constructors championship, then sell out to either M-B or the middle eastern consortium who own the other 30%. Ron's shares are tied to Mansour Ojjeh's so both will sell out together, but when the teams stock is number 1. Expect Max to go before Ron.
