racing outfit insurance

Hello all.

Now that the car is starting to look a little more than an assembled set of parts and a Brian james trailer shares the garage, thoughts along the lines of "what if it gets nicked are crossing my mind.

Whats the consensus regarding trailer insurance

and who offers the best race car insurance, obviously not when it is racing but cover during transportation / theft from circuit etc.

My previous trailers have never really warranted any insurance.

Hi,

I am using Oamps Race Car and Trailer Scheme which covers car, trailer, tools and equpiment. The car is of course not covered when moving under its own power and racing. I have not had to make a claim but the service was good so far. It was the best deal at the time about £200, as with all insurance shop around. All insurers will want you to have lots of security for the trailer as they are very popular with theives and dificult to trace.

Ok got Truck insurance plus Transport and Storage insurance for the Race car £600 ish total for both.
with Competition Car Insurance 0115 941 5255
