Does anyone know of anywhere that shows old rally stages from probably 30 years or so back? My dad is convinced that the rally once went by where we live (see below)

it would have to be the rac rally from the late 70's early 80's. i think one year it started in b'ham, or went through there anyway on the sunday. my guess is they were on there way to weston park on the a5.

It's possible it was the RAC going from somewhere like the Safari Park outside Kidderminster to Weston Park.

This part of the world is on the edge of some local Road Rally routes. Could it possibly have been a MN or local Road Rally rather than a Special stage event ?

The old man did a few RAC's back in them there olden days. I'll have a word with him and see if he's still got any of the maps at home.

Maybe it could have been part of the Tour of Britain, 1976 to 1976, there was definitely stages around the Birmingham area.

Cheers for all the replies. It was probably a connecting route rather than an actual stage, although the roads round here would make a good tarmac stage! Just wish the modern rally still came round this way or at least more than the RAC, Rally Around Cardiff!

I think it was the RAC 1983 West Midlands Safari Park < Burwarton Park < Bridgenorth < weston Park. I was Medic in a chase car in that one and i an sure we did that route.
