I've had a look around for where a modified sports 2000 car could gain race entry.

So far Castle Combe special GT series seems about it, any other ideas out there?

There are other sports & GT championships.

What part of the world are you in?

Why not convert it back to Sports 2000 spec?
The Sports 2000 Championship is well organised, well supported and we race at some of the bigger meetings including the A1GP.
Have a look at the SRCC web site for next seasons dates.
What car have you got and how much has it been modified?

My guess that it will definately be worth most by converting it back to proper Sports 2000 spec. Sports 2000 is definately on the up, including a newish Historic S2000 category. Values seem to be up on what they were 5-6 years ago. If its one of the early cars, get it back to original spec & race it in the Historic races, if it not old enough for that then you could consider modifying it to Duratec Class B spec.

Definately should look at the Sports 2000 web site:

http://www.sports2000-srcc.com

If you really don't want to change the car back to S2000 spec or go down the Duratec route, you could probably run it in SEMSEC races at Lydden Hill. Have a look at the SEMSEC web site.

Living in Hampshire, your best bets are the CCRC GT's, or the BARC-SE Sports & Saloons - if you don't want to "de-modify" your car.

But I concur with the other contributors, with it back in true Sports2000 spec, you would have a superb championship that you can run in.
