G, based on your new dates, it seems to me that Cadwell has in fact changed date(coming forward a week) Snett seems to be the same date as given before and indeed Brands has changed. Have I missed something or is that correct?

GRAHAM - Can we get this as near straight as possible?

I see that Cadwell is a week earlier but this will make little difference to me I am afraid. I refer you to my previous private comments and would advise that these are very much the same comments as a number of front runners have.

Brands was down as the end of June so this has changed. Snetterton is a Bank Holiday Monday affair if it is on the 4th and 5th as originally indicated. I understand that the Angelsey date clashes with a Dutch Supercar Round so we may lose a few of the top class boys!!

I have been trying to find out exactly what the BRSCC promotion we are supposedly part of is? Is this a proper promotion and what is the back up for sponsorship gathering?

Hi, I've checked back With John and the dates I put up are correct. Cadwell has moved a week forward and Brands a couple back.

They are all double headers with the exception ( currently) of Brands and Donny.

John Also Mentioned the new name for the series from 2008

" Dunlop TVR European Challenge "

To make it more inclusive than Tuscan or Tuscan or Sagaris.

Hugh Im not quite sure on the staus of the BRSCC promotion, The Motorsport Director at the BRSCC changed after it was announced, ( its now Drew). As I understand it they have watered down the original Big Bang Idea of doing all those things together but are instead introducing some of the concept this year to see how it works ( Basically without committing huge amounts of cash) So There is no big head line series of events as such.

TV coverage which will be of interest to some is still being negotiated by the BRSCC and is dependant on them finding the remaining sponsorship for the package. I have no further details on that.

Autosport Show

There are at least two of the racers scheduled to be on display, Cliffs T350 representing the series at the Autosport Show ( on the BRSCC Stand ?) and my Tuscan in the Pistonheads Show which runs in parrallel

Cheers for now

The TVR European Challenge sound much better given that we'll have near enough every model on the grid this season. Dates look good too, one week less to wait now.

T350 is at Newlun Performance to tidy up the bodywork, (why the marshalls didn't clear up afer Richards spin at Brands I have no idea) before going to Autosport on Wednesday.

Yes "The TVR European Challenge" sounds the nuts.

Same Brans is not a double header, as its seem to get the best support from TVR owners.

Just have to make sure they get better parking, this year.

When's the European round then? hehe Seriously though a much better name and who knows maybe SPA could get back on the calander again at some point.

Could you please keep us informed on the TV front as it will be very important to potential sponsors and could well make the difference between doing lots of rounds or just a couple this year.

The BRSCC does itself absolutely no favours does it? You don't make a big announcement and send letters/emails out to championship participants if you can't deliver.

The name change is a good move, though if the TVR European Challenge is ok it makes you wonder why the TVR Challenge isn't.

The TVR Motorsport Championship?
The TVR Supercar Challenge?
The TVR Racing Challenge / Championship?

Steve - you're on Motors TV almost every day at the moment - weknowvino.co.uk are getting tremendous exposure wink

I think some of that may have been old directors Idea / New Directors Idea, and maybe the numbers didnt stack up - too much exposure? but your right it certainly doesnt put them in a good light...

As to the name hehe I think its a start... apparently if we do well it might be come the

" Dunlop TVR World Challenge" hehe

you know a bit like the USA " World Series"

Aah, has that got something to do with "Best of Crash?"... If so, think I know which bit you mean, though not seen it myself as yet.

Have got a new sponsor proposal though, involves lots of crashes laugh could get expensive!

That's the thing with TV coverage though isn't it? You either need to win the race or crash to guarantee getting footage.

The DSC site has the full programme if you haven't seen it (Dutch language version): http://www.supercarchallenge.nl/dscplayer.php?vidI...
