...at Aguri in exchange for a lump of cash?...who's brave enough on betting that Ralf might be trying to put something together?.....

Aguri have got an all Japanese theme going on. I'm sure they'll get the son of a loaded japanese business man in by the end of the month.

Aguri has confirmed Davidson and Sato.

Even with an all-Japan theme, Super Aguri needs to get good results in the first few years, so they won't be foolish enough to pick bad Japanese drivers over good foreign ones. They don't want another Yuji Ide. wink

Davidson is a very experienced development driver and not a bad racer. Sato is probably the best Japanese to step into F1, and he definitely has the speed. He just needs to improve his consistency and he could be duelling with the front-mid runners.

They havnt confirmed Davidson or Sato at the moment, they just had to put two names on the FIA entry form or they would lose the entry, it's an admin with the FIA thing. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/64526

Oh, OK. I thought that actually made them official.

In any case, if I were running SA, Davidson and Sato will keep their seats. It seems nuts not to keep them.

That's why I made the point - Sato has to be a shoe-in, but I can see Davidson's seat at risk if someone really does wade in with a large wad of cash. Mind you, they were flogging off Aguri stuff at Autosport today for reasonable money - ex pit crew gear...perhaps they'll raise enough to keep Ant in a seat wink

As mentioned in the Autosport article John linked to above, Aguri have gone on the record to say that they're happy with and would like to keep both drivers, but neither have been confirmed yet because of various other factors affecting the team.

I don't think there's any FIA rule about a team losing their entry without names on the entry list though John, as Force India had a "TBA" listed next to their second seat, which has only subsequently been filled by Fisichella.

You are right, they have until just before the first race to make it oficial.
