Looking to go to the Belgian GP this year, any advice on where to stay...we'll be camping, would like somewhere nearby that's got a good atmosphere over the three days. Have read that some places can be rather noisy though which could be a bit of an issue as my dad is hopefully coming along (62), he enjoys a few beers like anyone else but obviously will want to get a few hours sleep!

Any recommendations will be gladly received, similarly any general info will be most appreciated.

Even though its a while away I'm really looking forward to it already. woohoo

Congrats on going! It's a great place make sure you stand at the bottom of Eau Rouge. It really is a whole lot steeper than it looks on tv.

Camping front, we stayed here .. www.eaurouge.nl great site, well organised, no compliants at all.

It's a bit of a trek to the circuit, but it's good to wake you up in the morning! Came recommended on here as well, and I have to say it was exactly as described! Cheers Piglet! thumbup

You're welcome, we like it there thumbup, they have an onsite bar and sell chips, what's not to like biggrin Did they put you all on on the overflow field at the front?

There are some old threads on here where the campsite has been described so search those.

We've only used it for the FIAGT 24 hour and we have media parking so the getting back and forwards isn't a huge problem for us. Some of our guys last year reckoned it was the best part of an hour from Eau Rouge Camping to the bottom of Eau Rouge (circuit) so it is a bit of a trek. If you've got space for bikes that would be easier.

Thanks for the tips people, both the sites mentioned look great! Spent a bit of time searching but couldn't find any details on parking, I can live with an hour walk but what sort of opportunities are there for parking close to the circuit should we feel lazy?! hehe

You have to be up EARLY!

We would walk in at 8am, and cars on both sides for about 500 yards. I don't think there's any regulation of who parks at the side, and I definitely saw no tickets on cars.

We got down to the shower/toilet block, turn left and about 50 yards down. Pretty close to the chips too! Nice place, would definitely go again!

This link shows the track and forest area toward the campsite. It's about 1/2 to 2/3 way along from Pouhon to Chenuex
