Didn't that exact same accident happen a year or two ago at Oulton?

Probably no coincidence!

From the comments on youtube he did 'just' break a collarbone.
Not at all nice but it does look as if it could have been much worse

We were recently sent original negatives of the 1961 Gold Cup at Outlon Park, a couple of sample's attached of Stirling on his way to win in the Fergusson P-99 and Graham Hill in I think a BRM/ Will be a load more images of the P99 on SM's website shortly. Have a load more paddock shots including SM's Merc SL and Rob Walkers Facel Vega.

You know, I look at this picture and see how many people are trackside. I believe it attracted 40,000 people at events in its heyday.

What a shame these size crowds don't attend anymore. 10,000 people is seen as a good effort nowadays. I wonder why this is.

We did actually know how to make first-class lenses and real cameras back then y'know!cool

And proper Ilford film to retain the super-sharp image the instant you pressed the shutter release, not a half-second later...rolleyes

It was known as "duffing juice" in my day, and you could get high on the fumes in the post-processing room... Can your fancy Photoshop do that?
