It's the programme from the 1985 Gold Cup, where I went as a young teenager to watch Andy Rouse battle it out with a certain Barry Sheene in a Celica Supra! I remember it very clearly.

Browsing through the pages last night, I was delighted to see some of the young men who entered the Formula Ford 1600 race during this weekend..

to name a few... little did we know what their futures held !

They are not very good photos - I was only a child when I took them and I'm not much of a photographer even now, but these are from that day of racing at Oulton Park. They're not in any particular order, but I hope they are of some interest to people who were there.

Judging by the A-reg Jag in the car park, your photos are circa 1984 so possibly the same year that was featured in the pic on the 1985 program above.

Judging by the picture of the ticket stub at the top, I'd take a stab at 5th April, 1985

Only one I can find is this, probably from 1984 or 1985, overlooking Knickerbrook and up Clay Hill.

Hi All

I'm looking for photo's of my car racing at Oulton Park in 1956

The date is August 18th 1956 and the car is a Lotus Eleven, entered by Ecurie Demilitre and driven by J. M. Hawthorn

That weekend the car had the number 37 and was entered in the F2 and "Sporting Life"trophy

Unfortunately the car didn't last the first race and Hawthorn had a serious accident, rolling the car and being thrown clear.

I would dearly like to find a photo of the car post accident in order to determine the damage done and repair work needed. The car was returned to Lotus, rebuilt and sold on to G.K.Farmer who kept it for one unsuccessful year.
