I know its a way off yet but was wondering who is planning on heading across to this? Im only down the road so will deffo be there.

If there is enough people, we could try and get a bit of a pistonheads section going on?

I am counting down the days. I cant wait.

I will be there taking pictures and, if all goes to plan, I will drive myself there biggrinbiggrin (not passed my test yet frown)

Looking forward to the Veyron (if it is there again) and looking forward to seeing the Ford GT on track.

There will be lots of pictures on here afterwards.

I can't wait! Grew up 10 miles from Oulton so it seems like a second home. Will be the first motor racing trip for my new car too - it's going to need to get used to them. The Ford GT is an awesome thing - most dramatic GT3 car I've seen. Last season was the healthiest I've seen British GT in years, although the GT1 days were pretty special.

Anyone know who's looking hot in F3 this year? I'm expecting great things from Wayne Boyd.

not sure this year - having watched the likes of senna in the last couple of years its always a great one to watch. The GT cars pinch it for me though, purely for the drama of the machinery on offer!

Will be making the annual trip down to the opening round at Oulton (650 mile round trip). Will be there both days so might see some of you there.

650 miles just to go to Oulton? Makes me feel lucky that I could do it in 15mins when I was living at my folks' place - could hear the cars from their house when the wind was blowing in the right direction.

I hae been trying to find some definite runners and riders for F3 and GTs but I think deals are still being finalised. I hope grids are strong. I think last year was excellent for both. I used to go to school with Andy Meyrick and heard he is close to concluding a deal so fingers crossed for him getting into a decent Championship Class F3 car. I wonder how the VW engine will perform as well.

See you guys there.

I shall be there, and most of the other rounds. Last year at Oulton the Christians Ferrari ran into one of our support vans! We also had to lend our umbrellas to the Formula Ford teams when it started peeing it down (our set up was next to the assembly area)!!! Please Oulton Gods, can we have some nice weather?

Yes I'll be there either spectating or marshalling.

Probably spectate this one as its less work than marshalling and you can appreciate the racing more.

Agreed, save that I usually only get to hear the others talking about it as I'm panting out at Westfield/Shell Oils or some such far away spot!!!

As for who gets what IIRC It alternates between F3 and GT as to who gets the pits, except that when there is space for most of them (like at Silverstone) when it's usually the left over GT boys who have to do their own thing.

beechdean is an ice cream company and they usually hand out ice cream samples, you just have to be around their awning at the right time.

You don't need anything special to get one of their ice-creams, just be in the right place at the right time biggrin

Luck is a matter of opinion hehe Especially because having one of those means I'm never about to get the ice-cream!
