why are the entry fee's for the g55 higher than for the g50's. they are in the same race but different class. normally entry fee covers track time and any hospitality provided and series apparel. surely if you enter g55 you will get same track time, same hospitality and same gear.

why is everyone so hooked with wanting a road going version?

Is the G50 available for the road - I don't remember hearing anything about it?

yes

Less race cars, more road cars.
Why would they risk everything they have built up by going into the road car market?

If this is a 75k race car, you'll probably be looking at 100k+ for a proper road version which is dangerous territory given what Porsche turn out at that price point...
TVR died, Marcos failed. There is a huge desire for a British sportscar. If they could knock the G40 out at a sensible price (sub-£40k) I think there would be a queue.

Happy to be in that queue too.

Nice photo Andy. Was the electric G50 still knocking around?

I thought Ginetta bought out Farbio so they would have a 99% ready road car for launch.

Haven't heard anymore about that one and the website doesn't reveal much. Have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Leaving the G55 as a race car, and getting the Farbio relaunched on the market would make more sense, no?

Hello mate! Yes, electric G50 was there as well as a couple of G400 road cars - including Lawrence's own. I only have the photos on my Facebook at present but will upload them to the blog so you can see them easily. Didn't you work for one of the other LNT companies for a while, or did I dream that?

The F400 was also featured on Australian Top Gear in their recent "Ashes Special" about British sportscars => http://www.topgear.com/au/videos/Top-Gear-Aus-Isle...

Quite right - my apologies. It looks and sounds well. Lawrence was knocking around Silverstone in his personal car at the LMS meeting in September.

That's the problem, it's nearly impossible to build a low-volume sub 40k road car and have a viable business proposition. This leads you into a no-frills approach, which allows you to build down to a price but limits your market as most people appreciate a creature comfort or two...

Ginetta have a nice business, and are well on their way to becoming the Radical of GT racing. A road car project would put all that work in serious jeopardy!

if Ginetta also bring a almost roadworthy car with lights and stuff and some extra's, I'm sure they can bring a "ready" road worthy car?
maybe you then bring this car yourself to such station to get it legally roadworthy?

or is that to expensive a sort single aprove or how you call that in English.

so leaf the factory out for that part? like building a kit of Ginetta.

although here is a article that there is at least one petrol roadcar, so they know what you needbiggrin

Lucky git! Love the stack of TVR T440s (TVR fans, please correct me if I'm wrong...) he has in the corner under dust sheets too...
