Some video footage of Kubica apparently testing a rally car.

I repeat that we are 100% sure that the wheel of the Clio S1600 in the video there was Kubica
So if it is him then he seems to be going well in the rally car but will he be able to do the same thing in a single seater? In another thread someone mentioned that he had been seen at a test day all suited up, it'd be a bit of a weird thing to do if he didn't drive the car.
Slightly off topic, but that S1600 Clio looked far cooler than the naff Fiestas that are in the British Rally Championship this year.

I'd be interested to see him operating buttons/paddles on a wheel while steering. As that'll be the tricky part in getting back into F1. I don't know what the setup is on a S1600 clio. But the F1 "wheel" is a complicated fiddly little bugger by the look of them.
That's not a major concern. Drivers will set the wheel up to work for them so you could change up and down with either hand for example.More of a concern is his fitness and feel

Yes complication isn't the issue, it's dexterity that is the problem. A previous one...McHaggis said:
And still no news.
Some second hand info in the German press today but nothing concrete.
Funny that. Some second hand info in the German press today but nothing concrete.
He's not coming back. And even if he is one day fit and ready, it will have been at least 2 years since he'd have driven an F1 car (speculating that it would be at least the end of this season) and there will be plenty of people looking for a seat in 2013 who haven't been out injured for 2 years with question marks over their ultimate ability to drive an F1 car.
It's a shame that his career is over but let's face it, no one is showing any interest in being the team that brings Kubica back to F1, so who is going to take the big risk in bringing him back?
Of course not, but with medical stuff. No news is generally bad news.
I'm amazed at the seemingly total lack of information. That just seems a bit odd to me.
I don't want blow by blow details, but to know that he's at least progressing would be good. Even if he's not going back to F1, most people would at least like to know that he's recovering.

Or maybe he has a top team F1 drive line up for next year and can't shout about it as the driver he is replacing hasn't been told yet to keep him motivatedI'm amazed at the seemingly total lack of information. That just seems a bit odd to me.

Not a chance, in my view, would a team risk him until they have had him in at least a historic (eg a 2007) customer Ferrari to see if he can cope...McHaggis said:

Lets not forget that Pedro De La Rossa got a race seat this year. One of the newer teams might take a punt on a race-by-race basis.
:-) Very true...It would be nice to know how he's getting on, given the severity of the accident and injury if I where him I'd be happy I could go for a piss without help- the guys lucky to have his arm and life!

Please tell me you're being sarcastic.
Why would he need to be sarcastic.Paddock rumours are that Ferrari are giving him loads of time in their simulators and that he can have test time in a "historic" spec (2007/2008/2009/2010) car.
There's no need for sarcasm when talking about this as it's a distinct possibility.
If he's physically up to it, he's in the running.
