The presence of number plates always makes me think about the possibilities of driving one round town, to the shops, to a wedding etc.
I'm sure it would be a rattly, hot, uncomfortable hell. Until that one moment you pressed Stage Mode at the traffic lights or the start of B-Road Mark_Karting said:

Driving rally cars on the road is a nightmare and usually embarrassing! Try doing a hillstart at lights with a racing clutch and zero torque below say 5000rpm, it's either a stall or a chav style kangaroo. Add to that a cage to reduce visability and mirrors that don't actually let you see more than 2ft behind you. I hate driving my MR2 rally car on the road, competition cars tend only to work well flat out. Always fun to blip the throttle for the overrun in traffic though

Nice to see you got the intro right

YouTube phenomenon Ken Block and WRC star Mikko Hirvonen.

Block does do some stunning stuff, hooning around, but doesn't quite cut it up against the proper WRC guys.

From what I saw on the day Hirvonen was better at the Gymkhana stuff too. Much closer to the obstacles and much more speed. Could be down to Block having a Focus and Hirvonen the Fiesta.>>>

I was lucky enough to win a passenger ride in his team-mate's (Latvala) car in Portugal a couple of weeks back.
The performance was strong but what was most impressive was how effective the brakes were on loose gravel (when compared with your own experience) and quite how much of a battering the cars take.

For reference, here is Ken Block's video from the same event
