Just watch for police at bridge of Orchy and again at the entrance to the ski lift. Also dear, everywhere!
OH,dear- , the old dears, and the "scenic gourmets"( those who drive with half an eye on the road ,and one & half an eye on the scenery ,and forget about the mounting Q behind ,or how slow they're going, rarely appear at the break of dawn. However ,when it's a lot colder , you may find DEER grazing at the roadside. But more worrying. in my last trip up north, I found young deer ( looking like large shaggy GS dogs) , near some of the fast food places and the road leading to Kings House Hotel . I've always found it incomprehensible that in cars of today's road holding, that the average visiting tourist thinks that they must drive in convoy (perhaps it's to avoid meeting a clan toll gathering group )at 40 MPH, when in days of yore some 50 years ago, we youngsters had only one idea- get through the Coe as fast as possible, and in days of cars of the road holding ability of a Moggie 1000, we got up to 90 + and I've never seen a nasty on this road.
I'm told, that the straight just north of Bridge of Orchy is a prime cash gathering site- favourite is the layby on the north side ,just before a nice straight out of BOO.The site at the ski lift is another favourite- I've spotted a van there from miles away- sun glinting on the white/yellow reflective stripes on the front.

Nothing wrong with Scotland, it's the depressing thought of having to drive all the way back to Devon after visiting such an amazing part of this country! And September is the week off which I have nothing planned for... yet!
Which week? Slippydiff said:
I'll look forward to seeing you up there, best make it late September though ! !
Edit to add, so Red Devil is fallible after all
