Wondered where the snow had landed. Incidentally last week I noticed day temperatures on the coast just south of you at 10c and 5c overnight, whilst in the Midlands a rock fall from Brum it was 5c max during the day and 0C and lower overnight. Something to watch is the jet-stream, which is showing signs of following the 2010 pattern. But whilst Steve & blokes up north skate around in several inches of snow, I expect to see photos & news of the poor unprepared folks in the Home counties failing to cope with millimetres of snow. Difference is that up north in snow two cars form a convoy ,sanding each other over bad patches, whilst down south two cars form a traffic jam as they slide all over the road.
A939, A93 and the A9 all shut just now due to snow, if you're coming up any time soon have a look at http://trafficscotland.org/ !

You'll have to put up with this for the moment - there's quite a lot on the hills, but just this at sea level:
Hi SteveThinking of coming up to the Torridon this Saturday to give our new S4 a run , and take advantage of the cheaper rate !
Is this advisable at the moment weather wise ?
cheers

The roads are fine on the west coast - snow line is about 500 metres (see below). Not sure which way you'll come but I'd check this before you leave:

I'm sure you know.. it's the A9 that suffers most with snow... and possibly the Garve - Kinlochewe road. They are the ones to check.
I've been driving my S4 round here without any problems.
We are due a bit more snow on Friday, but it's unlikely to cause much hassle.
ETA Torridon Cafe is open on Sarturday and Nanny's Cafe (Shiledaig) on Sunday. (In case you get bored of the fine dining )

I suppose this fits in here, above the pass of Glencoe last week.

I think we will give it a shot then , gotta say after the 2 MINI's (JCW and Countryman SD ) , the S4 is like an angry Limo, loving it so far , and great to get back to a DSG again. The roads are fine on the west coast - snow line is about 500 metres (see below). In case anyone is here... all roads to Applecross haven't been gritted, and are covered in sheet ice. I just spent an hour behind a distbin lorry who was attempting to get up a hill. Next mile took 20 mins. RWD cars won't get anywhere for at least 3 hours. Anyone on the Bealach is in for a REAL shock.
