...and, Yep drone. More here: http://stevecarter.com/random/Aerial.htm (Top one taken directly above my house)
Steve, I've just had a look at your pictures and must say I think they are stunning, could I ask what type of drone your using, I did see a phantom three in the last picture but never realised that pictures of that quality could taken. I Particularly like the one of the swimmers and also the picture of the beach from above which also has the seagull flying along.

Yep, it's a DJI Phantom 3. I take the photos in RAW and underexpose slightly, as the sky tends to overexpose. I then bring back any highlights in Adobe Lightroom. The DJI Phantom 4 Pro is just out and that has a larger sensor so should take even better shots. (£1589 mind!)
ETA: You can buy Phantom 3's for as little as £399 now (the version without the 4k vid)

Cheers for that, I've been toying with the idea of getting a Phantom 4, do like the sound of the pro but can't justify the price at the moment.

I shall happily sit looking at the loch with a whisky in 1 hand then until she opens !
Just a heads up, 800 yards before you reach Shieldaig, there is a puddle in the middle of the road. It hides a VERY deep pot hole that will kill a tyre. I doubt the road crew will repair before Christmas.Looks like rubbish weather
By road crew,I take it you mean the LA road repair team who in old Highland terms were said to "go along the road, over the road, BUT never, ever touch the road".
Or do you have a local tyre dealer ,with plenty of mucky water, singing "I'm dreaming of a profitable Xmas".
Ha. They roll through every few months, chuck some tarmac in the holes, stamp on it for a bit and leave. Two days later the hole is back.

I'm contemplating a Phantom 2 so I can mount a GoPro, do you know if a 3 will do that? The DJI Phantom 4 Pro is just out and that has a larger sensor so should take even better shots. (£1589 mind!)

Good tip!
Im going incognito !
Likely to be an Astra hire car. The Mrs did not want 9 hours in one of our "old" cars !
I shall certainly look out for you and would be lovely to meet
Once again stunning photos
I thought you had a drone from the angle of the bridge pic! I looked hard on google street view to see if I could get to that vantage point for a pic as well but No !
