One question to people who have already done trips. How common are petrol stations around the mountain areas of Switzerland and Austria?

I live in Switzerland. - No worry of you running out of petrol. There is no town without a petrol station. - And the juice is quite cheap.

Do you have a route planned?

I came across the video the other day of my 2017 Pyrenees trip. I'm counting down the days until my next one in June.

I really enjoy reading through these trips, such good info for planning future trips. I've done 2 proper road trips, one Europe and one Scotland, both of these I planned based largely around info I gathered on these forums biggrin

Here's my contribution, my Scotland trip from October 2014:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Hopefully at some point I will write up my Europe trip from 2013 and get that on here too.

A fairly long one, and not entirely a PH vehicle, but...
www.wherevertheroadgoes.com - 17 months and ~40k miles around 20 countries in a VW T25.

Even longer...
www.drivenachodrive.com - An American couple's round-the-world trip in a T25.

Best days of my life including track days at Imola, Red Bull Ring, Hungaroring x 2, Valencia, Monza and some of the best roads I'll ever drive. Sold the company in 2014...been there done that but still miss it. I think the days of big organised events are pretty much over now, was good while it lasted.
