Hello all

I'm getting married in Ireland later this year and will be travelling from Bristol to Pembroke to get the ferry.

There are 4 of us going in 2 cars - and e30 m3 and a e46 csl - and what we would like to do is leave Bristol in the am of one day, go to Llangennith and go surfing, then head on towards Pembroke. We are getting the ferry at 2.30pm the following day so how close to Pembroke we get on day one isn't that important.

I was wondering if anyone knew any choice roads in this area which we could take rather than the motorway, and where would be a good spot to stop for the night. I was possibly thinking of Tenby but if anyone has a good recommendation that might fit I'd be really grateful.

Any advice much appreciated - other than not to get married!!

Regards

Keith

I'd probably do something like this for the fun/scenic bits:

Getting to the far end of the Gower always seems to take ages from Swansea, so factor that in.

As for the Llangennith to Pembroke stretch, I think your best bet is to take the main roads unfortunately. There may be a few good local stretches of road here and there, but nothing sustained. Use the time to enjoy exploring Tenby instead!

There is the Pembrey track, west of Swansea, in case it's open when you're passing.

And congratulations smile
