Interesting ROAD to Bordeaux?

Ok, I'll try again....

I'm driving non-toll from Calais to Bordeaux tomorrow, which are the more interesting ROADS to take? I'm looking at either via Tours or Via LeMans (GoogleMaps suggestions)

Any experiences/advice on which are the more interesting ROADS?

Can't advise on "interesting" roads as I've only done it once and used the tolls. It's a LONG way; Are you sure you want to do it on the A roads?

How long do you have to get there?

Just about to get on the boat. Going to drive into the country a bit then get some kip in the car, then onwards.

So, via Tours or Lemans? I've had one recommendation for Tours on another thread.
