GT4 in the Pyrenees
Discussion
Having been inspired by many previous posts in this section, I took time out to drive into France just for fun - hopefully this will add to those posts to encourage more of you to try the same...
TL; DR - new car, needs running-in, no traffic, 98RON cheaper than water, pics below.
Delivered on Saturday:
This is the second new car I've had - the first one managed three miles before it had to be returned. So I had a task of running it in. This is roughly the route I, along with another PH'er, took, no motorways, mainly D roads:

Train on Sunday:
Day 1 Calais to Le Mans
Most roads were like this:
Most towns were like this:
Roadside lunch stop:

Keeping it real:
Fuel stops were frequent - indicated 21-23mpg!
In Mulsanne at the end of the first day, driving along at dusk with headlights reflecting back off the Armco was goose-bump inducing:
Hotel bar:
Day 2 Le Mans to Bergerac
The side pods seem to pick up a LOT - I'm sure there's hedgehogs living in there:
Day 3 Bergerac to Boltano, Spain
The morning was quite foggy, however this didn't prevent the locals from driving up to the speed limit! Took a little motorway to make up some time. View as the Pyrenees came into sight was uplifting.
Lunch-stop on the French side:
Into Spain & the N260:
These 'cave' like tunnels freaked me out a tad:
Roads were empty, flowing, well surfaced:
Some great parking, the road to this was a narrow cobbled cart-track:
Early start, stunning views on the way back into France:
Opens up from single track to this quite nicely!
In France:
Last day - Home via Reims:
Early start, more empty roads!
Through various 'nacs - Armagnac, Cognac etc:
Reims GP at Gueux:
Traffic on way to Calais:

It was just brilliant & I wish I were still there! I think I've about 100 pics all of empty roads - they all started to look the same. It's probably the only way to properly make use of a car, the lack of traffic seemed to keep speed down - and maximised enjoyment of the car. This would have been just as brilliant in a 1.6 MX5....
I booked a "high vehicle" space on the train / so no issues with entry / exit. Costs no more than a standard space.
As for lights, it would appear you need to remove these to flick a switch, I didn't and I did very little night driving, however no one flashed their annoyance at the lights as they were - & they certainly lit up country roads better than in any other car I've been in!

Great thread we need more of this .
How have you enjoyed the car so far ? Early observations?
Also 1st car lasted 3 miles ????
Tks
It's pretty decent, a lot of torque, a lot of grip, perhaps most importantly it feels fast without needing to be travelling fast, practical, usable & not too ostentatious - pretty much perfect! How have you enjoyed the car so far ? Early observations?

My 991 GT3 lasted 3 miles before the engine issues stopped play.
