Is it just me or are there more like minded petrolheads out there who want to enjoy there cars but can't find any organised trips to suit?
I liked the look of the Great Rally but camping at the end of September did not appeal at all.
I like the routes for the Pure Rally but being a 40+ married man the constant partying and party girls would be a tough sell with the wife !!!
I organised a trip last year to Spa to watch the GT's with my Boxster, an XK8 and an M3 and we already have next years pilgrimage to Le Mans booked. However, I need a few UK trips to fill the void left from giving up Clubman racing.
I see plenty of people discussing routes they are planning but not many asking for groups to join.
Ideally, I'm looking for weekend trips around the UK, staying in hotels / travel lodges where there is a good social gathering on an evening and great driving during the day. Maybe drives to locations (Beulieu, etc).
Is there anyone out there who shares the same interests and wants to enjoy their weekend cars in the company of like minded petrolheads?

I have been on a few organised on the pages of my regional marque specific club (NORLOG). Not sure if that's a route you want to go down, all one marque?

If not there is Petrolhead Nirvana, I have seen a few posts here on PH praising these tours - http://www.petrolheadnirvana.com/# The routes look good plus you will get a nice mix of cars and a well organised trip (hopefully no knobbish driving)

PH Linky too - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=665...

Hi,
I'm not in a position to comment on the current position of Petrolhead Nirvana as i recently left my employment there, having planned and executed every tour there since July 2009. If you're interested in a similar style of tour though, please have a look at my profile or PM me and i'll do what i can to help.
Regards,

Camping is not obligatory. You can stay in comfort at hotels if you're happy to fork out an extra £600 per person.

Travelodges are great for inexpensive accommodation. If you plan ahead you can get some really good deals.
The downside is having to find somewhere reasonably close by for the social/food & drink side of things.
There are only a limited number of Travelodges with a Bar Cafe* and I need a proper British breakfast to set me up for the day. smile

Cars/driving are the common denominator but, outside of that, interests (i.e. the times when not behind the wheel) vary considerably.
If you have anything particular in mind you're welcome to PM me.
