I've got a question about the road markings on a mini-roundabout and I can't seem to find a definite answer.
The question is, in the attached photo, can you exit the mini-roundabout/road into the single lane Front Street?

Front Street is NOT marked as One-Way (no White/Blue arrow signs) and there is no NO-ENTRY sign.
The entry onto the roundabout is marked with the Give Way double white line and a the Give Way ahead triangle,
however there is no actual Give Way sign.
It could be argued that this junction is not actually part of the mini-roundabout or not marked correctly because it doesn't have the wider Give Way road markings you would expect on the mini-roundabout, like the other roads joining the mini-roundabout. Until recently it did have the larger Give Way markings but these have been replaced with the double broken Give Way lines.
There is an area of solid white/hatched markings on the left of the "entry" to this road, no idea why they are there, possibly to deter people from entering from that direction.

Just wondering what everyone else thought, it's not a big deal, I'm just curious.

Doesn't appear to be, but why not go that extra hundred metres, and go up Houghton Rd to the other end?

Thanks for the reply TooMany2cvs....I think you might have got the wrong gist of the question, it's not about logistics/navigation, it's about legality.
i.e. is it legal to enter Front Street from that direction? and if not, why not?

I think you might have got the wrong gist of the anxwer.
Why get so hung up on the legality, when - by doing so - you're heading into a grey area for zero benefit?

Unless, of course, this is a retrospective question...

I've looked at the map ref above in street view format and although no entry signs appear to be missing, the junction is marked up as I'd expect a one way junction to be marked( no evidence of a central dividing line )-so I'd look on this section as one way and take 2CV's route. Best place to ask the question (and possibly cause some red faces) would be he Highway authority .

The junction markings clearly indicate a give way only, whether it be the previous markings or the existing ones. Agree with others that the signing is inadequate.
