Tips for places to visit Reims-Stuttgart

My cousin and I are booked to cross to Dunkirk in October, have Monday-Friday and have plans to visit Reims, Porsche & Mercedes museums (and hopefully a factory tour at the former!) and some derestricted Autobahn too...
Any other suggestions of places to go; Nurburgring is a possibility, but I can't say I'm desperate to do so, a little fearful of Tourist days!
Is there anywhere else we should be going to look at? Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Off the top of my head, the Voges (Route Des Cretes) region in France isn't a million miles away and has some good driving then between that and Stuttgart you've got the Black Forest which has a lot of good roads. Bit further north you've got the Moselle region, a wine growing area that runs alongside the Moselle river.
