Will be in reading today, routes for a nice overnight trip

Hi all,
Have to head to reading today (leaving now) and then have to return to reading friday evening (around 4pm).

Initially I was thinking to go to cornwall stay the night and drive back tomorrow, but then thought about 10 hours driving in a 1 day period might not be such a good idea.
Would you have any suggestions for an approximately 6 hour round trip (will stay overnight in hotel) mixed with some tasty winding roads on the route

OK, so one end of this round trip is Reading.

Give us a clue where the other end is.
