This is our second Euro trip in the tuscan, this was a special birthday treat from my wife for my 40th.

Route
Calais to Troyes (France) 1 night
Troyes to Chamonix (French Alps) 1 night
Chamonix to Corps (France) 1 night
Corps to Nice (France) 2 nights
Corps to Bologna (Italy) 1 night
Bologna to Lake Garda (Italy) 3 nights
Lake Garda to Davos (Switzerland) 1 night
Davos to Andermatt (Switzerland) 1 night
Andermatt to Freiburg (Germany) 1 night
Freiburg to Baden Baden (Germany) 1 night
Baden Baden to the nurburgring (Adenau, Germany) 1 night
Nurburgring to Bruges (Belgium) 1 night

We travelled down to Kent on the Friday evening and stopped in a cheap travelodge and crossed the tunnel on Saturday morning around 5.30 ish. We did this as we have to travel from Staffordshire and just makes your first days driving in Europe easier.

I love the tunnel its just very convenient , we got off the tunnel and headed for Troyes. The sun was shining and all was well in the world.

Pictures of Troyes, hotel, cars and my fairly drunken face.

The hotel was called Maison M Troyes, stunning place to stop . Great location and free parking, great hosts. £125 per night. A couple of cars on show in the Troyes town. Its a really nice place, a great first night stop over. The weather was really kind to us.

Second day we woke up bright and early, we had a 4 hours 30 minute drive to Chamonix. The owner of the hotel nipped out on his bike and returned with a basket full of bread. We had a cracking breakfast and packed the car and headed on our way. The weather again was stunning.

Pictures of Journey, Chamonix and me with a beer again. I'm absolutely not a drunk

This was our fourth time in Chamonix, gorgeous place. The backdrop is hard to beat. We stopped in the hotel L'heliopic hotel and spa as we have stopped here before. Great hotel and a cracking view. This was a bargain at £65 per night. Chamonix is a great place but expensive to eat and drink out.

After a great day and night in Chamonix it was time to head to Corps, not a lot going on there. It was a really nice drive though on the route napoleon. We stopped in the hotel de la poste, fairly well known for its food. From memory this was a round £120 per night.

Check out the room, its what i would call pimp

This was a strange little place but we enjoyed it.However we did not sleep to well, the church in the village rings its bell on the hour every hour through the night. The food in the hotel lived up to its reputation of being good, it did not disappoint and was very cheap. Next day we woke up and i was 40.
I had been saying to my wife all year, i just want a sagaris for my birthday and i would be happy. She did buy me one in the form of a toy car, ha ha. Pics to follow

After a sleepless night, we skipped breakfast loaded up and headed to Nice. We planned on following the route Napoleon but missed the signs and followed the sat nav. This was not good, we ended up on one of the highest passes in Europe. I will look up the name and add it lata. It was the kind of road that if you broke down you would be in trouble, no other traffic and a long way from civilisation. The road was that high it made me feel a little funny, not sure how the TVR was coping. Then it told me, i looked down at the dash and the EFI warning light was on. After internal panic i calmed down and thought about it. I was struggling for air so the car must be, it had given me a warning to take it easy. The car was running a little rich. Clever trevor.

After the panic on the mountain pass the road started to come down, thank god. We got on to some fast sweeping roads then, perfect for the tvr. The weather was now in the 30s as we approached Nice, this was not a place i was looking forward to driving in to. Mental busy and scooters everywhere. We sat in slow moving traffic for nearly 1 hour, the fans were constantly on and the car was getting warm. I was very happy there was no problems and nobody crashed in to us. Cars , people and loons on scooters pulling up along side you asking what is the car you are driving. Driving a tvr in Europe is like being a film star, everybody wants a picture and to talk to you about it.

Heres some pics of Nice
