We are going on a trip to the Champagne region just south of Riems. We are using the Channel tunnel and stopping over near Calais.
So we have all day to get our destination and wondered if there were are roads that were fun to drive, or are they all flat and straight?

if we can't have fun and twisty, what about roads which are more scenic and pretty? Nice villages? Places to visit en-route - other than the old circuit at Gueux which we have already put on the route.

Thoughts and suggestions please?

I would travel through the three 'Parc Naturals' on the France / Belgium border all the way to Sedan then turn south to Reims.

I'd advise a look here - the Autoroute to Reims from the tunnel isn't the most interesting road ever! (though not as bad as the road from Paris to the tunnel, which my wife and I call The Most Boring Road In The World).
