Hey - I'll be there over this coming weekend .. just got to travel 3500 miles to get there .. then a 5 hours car journey.

Guess if it's raining the TVR crew will cry off sick .. they don't like the rain hehe

I used to think that about the Col de Turini etc and other famous photographic faves - some of them are just as good when you drive them

Well I did the B4391 in both directions over the weekend and also the Evo triangle and both were utterly superb.

Although the g/f was not so impressed with my pace hehe

The b4391 was fantastic as I had a clear run along nearly the whole length of it .. superb thumbup

Yeah, one of my favourite pieces of road anywhere - such a range of surfaces - going back East is a good test of brakes downhill towards Llangynog - prefer it to the triangle in all honesty. Kerry 'Ring' is good as well

I did the triangle on the ninja sunday, the A543 is a really weird road its quite bumpy and the corners are quite deceptive the forest scenery is great though.

Hello guys. I'm close to passing my test now and I've thought to myself that I'd love to do the EVO triangle in the summer possibly, i'm not one of these dcensoredd boy racers. Is it wise that I do it or not?

Thanks

Driven senseably - it's no problem.

Like all roads - if you drive it too hard - it can bite back.

I say the air ambulance on the A5 section and the road was blocked off when I was there the other week.

Its a good road and the scenery is good to but its bumpy with crests and some corners are hard to judge. You have to be careful i prefer the cat and fiddle to be honest it might be totally diffrent in a car though

Another thumb up for the Evo Triangle. thumbup

We went up to North Wales the other week for a couple of days break and was suitably impressed. Aswell as the 'Evo' there's also loads of other roads nearby to suit most peoples tastes. Thanks go out to 'Slippydiff' for his recommendations. bow

We spent 2 days motoring around and still didn't get to see half of what we'd like to have but non the less, what we did see was excellent. cloud9

Sorry there's not many shots of decent roads........just didn't want to stop driving. driving

Elan Valley on the way up.

Edited - anyone know why the images aren't showing? Sussed

Where's that steep hill singe track road in DSC00086.jpg ?

That'll be the Hirnant Pass south east of Bala heading towards Lake Vyrnwy.

Not really a road for speed until you get to this point with Foel y Geifr to the right. Even then it's pretty rough, just lots of sheep and sheep sh*t and it does get a bit tight at the top of the hill with some nice sheer drops to the right eek to keep you on your toes.

You not wrong. After taking 1 or 2 of them and also noticing the fact a few of the barriers were missing on some of the sharp bends eek, it certainly gives you a reality check.

Can't wait till we're next up. bounce

Heres a sentance I never thought I'd say: "I want to go to Wales biggrin"

Oh, and btw, judging by the number of pics of people parked on the right hand side of the road, do they drive on the other side of the road in Wales? hehe
