I really need to get and do this. I'm from the area but I never seem to find time to do it.

I did the EVO on Sunday as a slight detour en-route to the B4391. Love North Wales!

Handy new interactive map for anyone searching for other good driving roads, superunleaded ... or spa hotels when tents & B&B's just won't cut it with partner rolleyes

The Shell in Porthmadog doesn't sell Nitro super Ferrari marketing juice. I think Tescos off the High Street sells momentum though...

I "did" the triangle this week

Are these cars dogging - automotively speaking as it were?!

True.

The maps of limited use too.

The shell just outside of Caernarvon does V-power, but it's not immediately obvious as only the two pumps at the back of the forecourt have it. We almost drove off before spotting it....

Shell in Betws y Coed, not far from A5 leg junction with Denbigh moor, Denbigh Shell but wker staff make bikers take helmets off and now get off bike too, Ruthin Texaco too if coming back from Cerigydrudion.

I hope visitors actually explore the 'other' roads? 2-300 miles of Evoness if that's what matters :-) go find.

I'll pass that on, and the Porthmadog info, as the hire co. is local to me in Shrewsbury & are updating the map smile

Now updated.

I had great run around the triangle a few times a week ago in the TVR seeing various Lotus and Porsches en-route, and back down Horseshoe Pass which was good but busy. Must explore further afield next time as suggested...

You really must. Its a great bit of road but absolutely not worth doing multiple times rather than seeking out other even better roads nearby.

This. The Triangle normally ends up being our final destination for a quick couple of laps before the journey home, but in fairness I actually enjoy the run up through Wales as much if not more so than this. It's a great bit of road sure, but there are some really cracking roads all through the country biggrin

After a cancelled trip last year, I really need to go and do this this year. The only question will be; do I take the WRX STI or the M3 Evo? biggrin

Me and a friend went up earlier this year, its a great road definitely. I just feel there are a lot better roads around, I felt like I could almost stick the car in cruise control for some parts at 60 and just turn the wheel.

Recently went up to the west cost of Scotland and drove through the Galloway Forest and I feel that's a far better strip of tarmac, tight twisty, undulating and really have to work at it to get the most out of the road, and the scenery is great too.

I think that most roads in the dales and moors beat the evo triangle as well, I am not sure why it has this magical status? Just me??

No. As you will read through this thread. Most of us who know the area well know full well that the triangle is very good but there are better around in Wales. But not quite sure which bit of the triangle you think is lacking bends? 1 straight bit only that I can think off?
