I did this one in August & I have to agree that it's an absolute peach.

You do get quite a lot of caravans and I also got stuck behind a convoy towing gliders !

Nonetheless, if you've got a motor with some welly there's plenty of safe overtaking to be had even in the height of summer...

Don't count on finding anywhere decent to stop unless you're Michael Palin though!

thats a beaut of a road did it a few years back in my ex 430se sheer joy, what made it better was i was kind of lost so i was on that road by accident

A fabulous road - did it from Cannes upwards in the snow a couple of years ago. One tip - DON'T overtake a campervan on the bends in the snow (especially when there's a French Army tank comming the other way!!!), added a little extra excitement to the journey !!
