RE: Aachen to Nurburgring

If you're every heading towards the Nurburgring try this route from Aachen - it's 65 miles of glorious blacktop that wends its way down to the "Ring". Leave the Autobann just after you cross the German border and then follow the 258 all the way to the ring. This is one of my favourite roads, just make sure that you don't do it at the weekend or you'll be constantly overtaken by motorbikes heading to the "Ring".

There are loads of places to stay around the "Ring" - just do a search on the web. I stay at the Hotel Motorsport for £50 per night. It's got a garage, great food and it's 500m from the entrance to the "Ring".
