Tightest curve on a motorway?

Apart from slip roads, what is the tightest bend on a motorway stretch in the UK where you can really feel the g-forces at work? I reckon it's the M5 by Junction 1
Not sure about specifics but there a few good ones on the M6 around the Lakes, some on the M74, and several on the M62 as it crosses the Penines.Plotloss said:
The kink on the M40 between 8 and 9 is suprisingly tight at 150+ leptons.
I'll agree with that. Heading south there is a particularly nasty bump half-way around, that is a good test of suspension and handling. Good fun in the wet, if the person in front brakes half-way-around.Then on the north side have you seen the flowers coming out of the bend ? obviously someone met their end.

Maybe the M4 near Newport?
Is that the bit with the stupid 50mph limit where you see trucks doing it at considerbaly more in the wet? (I agree it's quite twisty for a motorway, but I hate those signs!)

I was going to suggest the very last bend at the southern end of the M271 in Southampton, but it doesn't look so bad on the map. It is VERY sharp though and it's a good thing that the roundabout makes most people slow to 40-ish at that point. I've heard they've had some very nasty accidents there.

Do you mean the junction to the slip road which joins the A35? For a start it is in no way part of the motorway, and can be easily taken at the speed limit. Or at 70.Another vote for that stretch of the M4 near Newport and the M5 between 1 & 2 (which also has an advisory 50 limit, which is - it can be much more fun than that). Also M6 North, that right hander after the J9 entry slip is pretty tight and seems to narrow at that point as well. Optical illusion I suspect.
The M4 50mph limit at Newport hasn't been there that long and most people are still ignoring it. As much as it's a relatively tight motorway corner it's still comfortably negotiable at >1 lepton.
It's a bloody mess though in rush hour now that you've got a mix of people trying to do .9 leptons in lane 3, trucks over taking people sticking to the limit in lane 1 and some people determined to do the limit and no more in lane 3 regardless of what's going on around them. Add in the corners which mean some people are terrified of changing lane and, well, we're going to see more accidents there soon.
