The curve linking the the M9 to the M876 is really tight.

If we're going European, there some great bends on the E42 around Verviers in Belgium. The amount of paint on the solid concrete central reservation would appear to indicate a number of 'moments' around these bends!
+1.Not only are there some tight bends, but there are plenty
of height changes too.
A wise driver will always check the amount of newly replaced
barrier on any unknown road. This can give a clue as to how tricky
the road is and how the locals treat it.

I would guess its the M53 around Ellesmere Port. Sure that road shouldn't be a motorway!
linky
I was gonna say you beat me to it but your link wasnt the bit i was thinking of. Just after Jct 5 heading Northbound is the worst i know oflinky

Theres quite a tight curve somewhere around the north-western part of the M60 i seem to remember, i'd struggle to say exactly where though.
I think you mean the M62/M60 junction "Simister Island". Anti clockwise is very sharp. Clockwise means stopping for the roundabout. Time it right though and you can shift straight round. Watch for the muppets with dire lane discipline on the roundabout. Is this the only motorway with a roundabout (nowhere to go other than back on a different motorway!)??

On the European theme, the A6 from Savona to Turin in Italy is the craziest motorway I have ever been on. It is featured in an huge panorama in the Mercedes-Benz museum. Officially known as the Verdemare, it is better known by its unofficial sobriquet, the Autostrada della Morte.
As can be seen here http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?client=firefox-a&..., the separate carriageways criss-cross each other repeatedly, then zoom apart to 3km of separation and at one point, on the southbound side, spiral round a mountain like an helta-skelta slide. From some travel guide:
"The autostrada has 185 viaducts, many of them ambitious in design and execution, 49 tunnels and the fabulous elicoidale, a mad loop where, instead of building another tunnel, the autostrada wraps itself entirely around apanettone- shaped hill within sight of the sea. It is not just great civil engineering, it is an act of love."
My wife and I drove this road very fast in 2007 (we had to do 900miles in 12hours) and it was simply extraordinary. I challenge anyone ot find the motorway which beats it. If you do, I'll go and drive it.

Maybe the M4 near Newport?
I live just off J28 of the M4 by these bends and the first left hander when heading Westbound can be quite epic, as not only is it relatively tight it is downhill and off camber. Its the only bend on any motorway i've driven where the traction control light has flickered! M90 northbound between Kinross and Perth, tight left hander.
M9 northbound onto M9 spur to join M90, full left hand loop to send you eastwards. I think this is signposted 40 from a 70 but you can build up speed nicely and the 1 lane opens up into two just at the right time for getting the hammer down.
M90 soutbound just after Echline, where the road takes a good right hander to take you off onto the new M9 spur.
M8 westbound between J10 Stepps Rd and J11 Cumbernauld Rd, nice right hander which is quite tight in the outside lane.
Of the last 3 there I'm quite lucky to have lived within a couple of miles of them and drive regularly
In Scotland we dont have as many M-ways as England so I'd like to stake a claim for our major A-roads as well, A90 Bridge of Muchalls on the way into Aberdeen, a nice right left, uphill, opposite camber affair, like a stretched out Eau Rouge !

I take it you mean this one connecting the M9 to the M876. The M90 does not meet up with the M9 at any point as it starts on the opposite side of the forth. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a...

Yea that's the one he means, it is the M9 going to the A90 which if going north goes into the M90.http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a...

It's has recently opened, the A8000 was the old route number, which still exists, just google have it as the B8000
I remember this one (Southbound M5 to East on M42) from several years ago

Signed with a 50 limit I seem to remember. I went in at 1 Lepton, changed down a gear and floored it (1988 Toyota MR2), by the end of it was in a four wheel drift, doing just over 1.5 Leptons (allegedly).
