I remember this one (Southbound M5 to East on M42) from several years ago
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&a...

Signed with a 50 limit I seem to remember. I went in at 1 Lepton, changed down a gear and floored it (1988 Toyota MR2), by the end of it was in a four wheel drift, doing just over 1.5 Leptons (allegedly).
rolleyes

Sure you were.

Those things would struggle to hit 120mph.

Sorry, being new here, amnot sure what a lepton is (other than a type of sub-atomic particle).
Maybe I meant 1.1, not 1.5?

Oh I dunno. I always found 120+ mph very very accessable
in my mark 1 MR2.

I remember getting in the way of a BMW 750 at full chat
in heavy traffic just West of Salzburg once.

Last time I looked at the dial as I struggled to get
out of his way quick enough I was doing an indicated 135 mph.

Not bad for a car supposedly only capable of 125 mph.

Yes, I saw indicated 135 on mine too, but not on the road mentioned above.

How about the A167(M) just north of the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle upon Tyne? A fantastic right then left with the added complication of three junctions!

1 lepton = 100mph 1.5 leptons = 150mph

You should never go above 0.7 leptons on the public high way though. cop

nono

There is NO consistent relationship between leptons and speed, that would cause quite the wrong type of quantum entanglement.

It is quite right and proper for upstanding citizens to travel with widely varying lepton values which might not be the case were there any direct relationship to speed. teacher

I'd suggest the A308(M) as a contender...600 metres of motorway which IMHO is a waste of time, and a tight curve off the round a bout...

The motorway on way close to Spa in Belgium is tight, VERY tight, it even has downhill twisty section with run off areas. On a motorway! It feels more like passing through Maggotts at Silverstone due to the speed than on a safe fast free flowing motorway!!! Mental but fun in a V8 Supercharged Range Rover in the wet at 1.15 leptons!

I would guess its the M53 around Ellesmere Port. Sure that road shouldn't be a motorway!
It wasn't meant to be..
here

The bend northbound at Junction 5 is unusual for a motorway.

If you're in the South East area, have to agree on the previous comments of M25 Anti-clock onto M11 Northbound, fantastic 'S' bend which really tightens into the 2nd turn but can carry a lot of speed through to the exit if taking the racing line!

The other favourite of mine is M25 Anti-clock onto A21 Southbound, loops right round on itself and great fun balancing the car round - highly recomend taking the racing line if its quiet smile

Are we talking about sliproads, interchanges or main carriageways?

Sliproads - not really in the spirit of the question i think

Interchanges, the worse one i am aware of is here
http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&...
Going Westbound M62 to North M6

Main carriageways has to be here
http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&...
Between J19-22 M60. Probably feels worse with rise and fall of height.

Or perhaps here

That one is quite bad but the M62 eastbound to the M60 southeast is pretty hairy. [url] http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a...

At least it is only a single lane and you can get semi-decent visibility. The M62/M6 one is two lanes. On the nearside there is a banking just next to the hard shoulder and on the offside are bushes/trees. Both do a decent job of keeping your view to the next 1.5 seconds.

Wrote my 5year old volvo 440 off on that thing on april fools day with the kids in the back, the back swung around at 40mph smashed the barrior. Stuck behind the plod on that thing when they had there blues and too's on back in late 90's many a time....

The M606 northbound towards Bradford off the M62.

And yes it IS motorway, not a slip road.
Yeahhhhh.... this is a brilliant test of handling, my vote's here!!!
